The 4 Way Speech Contest is Saturday.
The local Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 3, in the Lima Senior High School Auditorium.
The contest was open to area schools. The following students are participating.
Cassie Phillips, Lima Senior
Nur-Huda Mahammad, Lima Senior
Reilie Lyons, Lima Senior
Alexis Ball, Bath High School
The speeches must be between five and seven minutes long, and be centered around applying Rotary’s Four-Way Test to an important issue in everyday relationships.
The Four-Way Test asks: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all?
The winner of the local contest will win $300 and advance to Districts April 14 at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert. The first place winner at Districts receives $500.
