Here's an update on the Honduras Sewer Project.

As you can see from the pictures below the work has finally begun on the sewer project that the Lima Rotary is sponsoring in Villa Peniel, Honduras.  This is the fourth International Service project that our Club is completing in the last three years.  Due to the efforts of Bob Ruehl in helping to arrange these projects and the generous support of the Corporate Partners who have provided the majority of funds for these projects our Club has developed a record of accomplishment.

The next step in our development is to now develop and complete a Global Grant.  Currently we are raising $7,500.00 to fund the development with several other Rotary Clubs to initiate a Global Water Project to be completed in El Salvador, Guatemala or Honduras.  Water and Sanitation systems are vital to the economic development of a country and to the lives of the population.  Global Grants require a minimum of $30,000.00 to be raised among the participating Rotary Clubs and Rotary International will then, at a minimum, provide at least $15,000.00 in grant funds to expand the project.

Your involvement as an individual Rotarian to contribute $20.00 to this effort is the first step in our fund raising effort.  The Corporate campaign has started and just looking at the pictures below is proof of the good that Lima Rotary is doing in International Service.  Thank you to those Rotarians who have agreed to be billed for your contribution to our new project and to the Corporate Sponsors who made the project pictured below possible.
