Here are the highlights from the May 12 board meeting.
 
President Baldridge called the meeting to order at 11:45 AM. 
 
Secretary Brown shared the attendance report April 2015.  Attendance remains consistently around 45% with 178 active members.
 
Brown reported total spend for the centennial at $20,799.38.  Member assessments are still in process so final reporting is still not available. 
 
President Baldridge requested the Board Members select the new Vice President for the upcoming year 2015 -2016 from the three new Board Members: Paul Crow, Traci Sanchez and Dean Wittwer.  Ballots were distributed resulting in Tracie Sanchez being selected as the incoming Vice President.
 
President-Elect David Runk shared the newly created proposed Club Budget for 2015 – 2016.   International and District fees will increase slightly as will the cost of the club data base Club Runner.  He based the budget on the club having 183 active members.  The Budget indicated Ordinary Income in the amount of $168,825 with Expenses in the amount of $169,170 leaving a slight deficit in the amount of ($345.00).  After discussion, the Board approved the budget as submitted. 
 
The Lima Rotary Club will be changing Club Treasurer as of May 31, 2015.  Cheryl Lawson has resigned from the club and Mark McKinley of Rea and Assoc  has been appointed to the position.  Two members of the Rea and Associates firm will join under the provisions of a Corporate Membership.  For the Treasurer’s position, the Lima Rotary Club will pay the rate of $400 and annual dues for one member.  Rea and Associates will make up the additional costs of the Corporate Membership.  The Club thanks Cheryl for her years of service to the club and wishes her well with future endeavors.
 
David Frost indicated the maintenance on the Rotary Arts Pavilion in Faurot Park has been finished.   The color scheme was totally changed with a new light background.  The project came in under budget by $980 with a total cost of $2,700 for the paint.  The labor for the project was donated by the Painters Union in Toledo as part of their apprenticeship program.  Grant monies were received from District 6600 and also from the Lima Rotary Foundation.  Scheduling a Club Meeting or event at the Facility is being discussed.
 
Anne Decker stated Sunday May 17, 2015 is the kick off for the Ability Baseball League at Faurot Park.  State Representative and Lima Rotarian Robert Cupp will throw out the first pitch.   
 
The Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing will be held on Wednesday June 17th.  Teams do not need to be members of the Lima Rotary Club but should be a reflection of a much broader community involvement.  Publicity details will be showcased on the Community Events Calendar and the club will use social media.
 
Results are not yet available for the Lima Rotary Blood clinic held Saturday May 2nd.  Turnout from the community was very good.
 
Harold Bischoff indicated the Bob Ruehl is still working on the Global water project.  The grant request to Rotary International can be submitted anytime.  The Lima Rotary Club will be the main sponsor.

Bischoff made a motion to approve the applications and Begg seconded the motion.  Board approved.

Fett made a motion to accept the resignation with regret.  Runk seconded the motion.  Board approved.
