Please donate to the Rotary Foundation this season.

This is the time of year when nearly everyone thinks about charitable contributions.  There are a variety of reasons why this is so.  We, as Rotarians, generally think about this more often throughout the year.  Why?  Because we know that every year, hundreds of thousands of people — children, families, and entire communities — benefit from projects funded by The Rotary Foundation. When you give to Rotary, you enable local leaders to create sustainable solutions to their community's most pressing needs.

Frequently throughout the year, we are reminded of the EREY program – Every Rotarian Every Year.  Although Rotary gives back in countless ways, we focus our service efforts in six areas: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies.  There is always so much to do, both locally and internationally.

With your support we can do even more. By making a gift of any size, you can be part of this positive change.  Now is an even better time to be part of this program.  Through the generosity of fellow Rotarians in District 6600, the Individual Giving Incentive Campaign has been rolled out.  This incentive plan ends on December 31.  Expand the culture of giving and gratitude in our district and help our club meet the One Rotary Challenge!

Take Action through Every Rotarian, Every Year
  • Any Rotarian who did not give in 2014-15 who gives at least $100 to the Foundation either by check to his or her Club Foundation Chair or commits to donating through Rotary Direct will be awarded 100 additional recognition points toward their Paul Harris Fellow The Rotary Direct option allows those who don’t wish to give all at once the opportunity to participate in the program by committing to a recurring gift at the amount of their choice equaling or exceeding $100 per year.
  • Any new Rotarian since July 1 who donates at least $100 to the Rotary Foundation to start a NEW Paul Harris Fellow for herself or himself, or any Rotarian that starts a new account for a non-Rotarian (e.g. spouse, child, grandchild, etc.) will be awarded 200 recognition points (limit two per Rotarian) via a cash/check donation or Rotary Direct.
Join Leaders with the Paul Harris Society
  • Any Rotarian who did not give in 2014-15 but who donates $1,000 or more by check to our Club Foundation or through Rotary Direct and commits to donating $1,000 per year for three years becomes a member of the Paul Harris Society and will be awarded 1,000 additional recognition points toward another Paul Harris Fellow.

The most important thing to remember, though, is that no gift is too small.  We all have much to be thankful for.  Let’s be sure to share what we have with others who are in need.
Please join me in supporting The Rotary Foundation.  It is an honor to be a member of such a generous organization.

Blessings to you all,
