The Lima Rotary Club is struggling with many past due accounts.

Dear Friends and Colleagues of the Rotary Club of Lima,
Do you have or have you had any clients who are challenging?  They’re hard to reach regarding difficult matters and they don’t pay their bills on time.  They make it more difficult to conduct business because they’re a distraction and take additional energy to resolve problems that shouldn't be issues in the first place.  Pretty frustrating, isn’t it?
You may be surprised to learn that our club, the second largest in the district and one of the oldest, has similar issues.  I come to you today to once again bring to your attention a matter that should concern all of us.  While most members of the club are fairly diligent in making sure that their dues are paid in a timely manner, there are some who, unfortunately, are not making this effort.  The result of the situation is that we have a deficit of nearly $17,000.00 that is over 90 days old and another $11,400.00 that is more than 120 days past due.  This is extremely serious and requires immediate action.  It’s not only embarrassing but makes it difficult to achieve the goals we’ve set for ourselves.  Frankly, there are some of us who are carrying the load of others.  Does this situation meet the 4 Way Test?  Obviously Not!
I am asking that every member check the status of their account as soon as possible.  There are a variety of reasons why some of the arrearages are so large.  It could be that your company pays your dues but only pays them once a year.  It might be that your dues are paid quarterly, but not until 60 or 90 days after the due date as a matter of policy.  It could be that you simply haven’t received (or lost) your invoice.  Whatever the reason, it’s very important that this situation be resolved in as timely a manner as possible.
If there is some reason that you or your company is struggling to pay your obligation, please contact me, President-Elect Dave Frost or Club Treasurer Kevin Bill and we’ll work with you to resolve the situation.  As I said at the beginning of this message, when any of us have customers whose account has gotten “out of control” we have to take action.  The same is true of the Rotary Board of Directors.  After all, our club has obligations we must meet as well.  Not only that, but we have a mission to help others in need.
As the next few weeks unfold, if we have not heard from you, we will be in touch by phone or visit.  Please help us to resolve this situation as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter so that we can all…
Be a Gift to the World!
            Yours in Rotary,
            David Runk, 2015-16 Club President
