Cindy Wood introduced our speaker - Dr. Adrian Thompson Bradshaw, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Ohio Northern University. Her position is quite varied - from dealing with the  national attention that the recent SAE racial debacle created, to engaging the community and the students on campus stalking and assault issues, and also leading the campus Gospel Ensemble, for which she earned her doctorate.

What began as an all black interest group 25 years ago - the gospel choir has grown in popularity and scope to be a healthy mix of black and white students. Originally, the group visited white churches to show how groups of different backgrounds can benefit from a common advocation, but now the group also visits black churches for exactly the same reason. This juxtaposition of normally held stereotypes appears to be a refreshing outlook into faith-based diversity, and I hope we get the opportunity to hear the ensemble at a club meeting.
