St. Rita's is using technology to keep people healthier.

Providing higher quality care with better service is the goal of St. Rita's Medical Center. CEO Bob Baxter told us that they are investing in keeping people healthy with such things as robotic surgery, 3-D mammography, and MyChart which is an online reference of patients' diagnoses, test, medications, test results and more. Looking to the future, St. Rita's hopes to expand onsite hospice and respite care and institute hybrid operating rooms where patients can undergo multiple procedures in one operating room.

Also at Monday's meeting, we handed out scholarships to more than a dozen deserving students, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded by the Lima Rotary Club to 810 since 2001.
There was also a shelter box set up so we could walk into the tent and see all the provisions provided for families left homeless by disasters.
