What a great holiday performance from the Liberty Arts Magnet Touring Company!

There was a water main break nearby - so the VMCCC had no water or restroom facilities today. As a result, we had the Arts Magnet students perform their holiday program right away, as letting 50 kids under 10 wait for 40 minutes in a building without a bathroom might have been a problem...

The program was very elaborate - with a soundtrack, choreography, and medleys that I would have associated with an older group of children. Nice job to the director and all the hard work that helped us "stodgy" Rotarians get kickstarted into the Christmas season.

Jill Ackerman shared a wonderful Christmas story with us, and Phil Hayne updated the crowd on next week's Rotary auction. Drew Fields thanked all who signed up for the Salvation Army bell ringing - all slots are now filled.

For the reasons mentioned above - the meeting room emptied out pretty fast after the program...
