The Alzheimer's Association is working hard to find a cure for this devatsating disease.
 
Today's meeting started as normal - with Carol Buettner, Rita Brown and Harold Bischoff fulfilling duties. Then, Phil Hayne took the microphone wearing a Michigan hat, where things went downhill from there...
 
A special round of the bucket was taken to raise an additional $600 for the Lima club to sponsor 2 shelter boxes - for a total of $1,600, and a $400 match from the district foundation. 
 
Dan Reiff introduced our speakers, focusing on updates on Alzheimer's research. We discovered that the brains weighs approximately 3 pounds, but one with Alzheimer's weighs half that amount. A few members suggested that brain weight was gender-based, but they were taken "out back" and never seen again. (As it turns out - brain weight IS affected by gender.)
