Scott Shafer - presented some Foundation awards to Vicki Shurelds of The Mitzpah Center, formerly the Cheryl Allen Center. Also, Jon Rockhold accepted a check for the Barbers give Bikes - dedicated to our own Art Brinkman, who recently passed away.
 
We also inducted 2 new rotary members: Derek Stemen director of the West Central Ohio Red Cross, and Lisa Hummel from the State Bank.

This organization - now 10 years old, has participated in area projects funded at over $28 million. New methods of metal stamping using electromagnetic pulses is the standout result - utilizing less floorspace and energy than the old behemoth punch presses.
 
Husky has identified a need to test incoming raw materials quicker, as the crude stock is more varied and of lower quality than in previous years. This new lab would allow companies in the region to alter their processes for lower emissions and greater efficiency - even from batch to batch.
