MESA delivers computer stations to Belize.
A team of Rotarians from District 6600 visited hospitals and schools in Belize in 2025 on behalf of MESA, Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad. MESA collects used medical equipment and computers from facilities across Northwest Ohio and delivers them to countries that need them. Randy Box told us they visited hospitals to determine what equipment was needed. The team also visited 33 schools to donate and install computers.
Randy says they have a shipment ready to go to Belize right now but shipping costs have gone up drastically. "We are ready to ship. The shipment is on the dock. We can't get a container. With the cost of transportation increasing everywhere, what used to be 2 or 3 thousand dollars to ship something is now maybe $7,000." "MESA is a project that we can do here in our district and help people around the world. We sent a 40 foot container to Ukraine this spring and another 20 foot so you are making a difference around the world."

MESA sponsors a bicycle ride around the district every year to raise money for the project. They will be spending the night of June 20 here in Lima. Beth Seibert is coordinating their visit and asked for donations to pay for rooms at Wingate by Wyndham for the bikers. Your generosity raised almost all the needed funds. Thank you!
