We had a great time at the Lima Rotary Club's Holiday Party Extravaganza! We enjoyed an amazing concert from the Spencerville High School Jazz Band, raised more than $5,000 for the Lima Rotary Foundation and donated $5,000 to the Salvation Army. Carol Buettner is the lucky (?!) person who got to take Elvis home. And we inducted three new members: Miranda Mayer from Shawnee Manor, Todd Washam from Cenovus and Sue Fifer who is retired from Allen Correctional Institution. Welcome! And thank you to everyone for making the day such a big success!
We had a great time at the Rotary Club of Lima social, fun, fabulous and ugly Christmas sweater party. Thanks for having us The Hollander on Main! The space, the food and the company were fantastic! Fun times had by all!
Please consider donating to a second round of financial support for Ukraine.
Dear Rotarians and Friends of District 6600:
There is no better Christmas gift than providing for those in need. Please consider donating to a second round of financial support for Ukraine. Anyone, Rotarian or non-Rotarian, can contribute and any amount of gift is greatly appreciated.
In March-April of 2022, District 6600 raised over $185,000 for Ukraine. Thanks to the generosity of many, Rotary International was able to raise over $15 million that funded over 400 grants to Rotary clubs that provided essential support to people impacted by the war in Ukraine.
However, more financial support is needed during these tragic times. Therefore, Rotary District 6600 has initiated a second round of fundraising: A New District 6600 Challenge to Support Ukraine:
An anonymous donor has provided a matching pledge of $25,000 for any donations made to the Ukraine Crisis Fund – Rotary District 6600 Campaign until December 31, 2022. Our goal is to provide at least $50,000 of direct support in partnership with the Rotary of Warsaw Poland clubs and the American School of Warsaw. Checks made out to “Ukraine Crisis Fund” with “Rotary District 6600 Campaign” can be mailed to:
Greater Toledo Community Foundation Ukraine Crisis Fund – Rotary District 6600 Campaign 300 Madison Ave Suite 1300, Toledo, Ohio 43604
The Greater Toledo Community Foundation is donatingall funds to this designated fund raised for the Rotary projects for Ukraine.
Please add the note “Rotary District 6600 Campaign” and put the name of your Rotary club and names of specific donors in the “Additional Notes” section. You can donate in memory or honor someone as well. A donation in someone’s name is a wonderful Christmas gift.
