Board Adopts Political Activity Policy

At its October meeting, the board of the Lima Rotary Club adopted the following Political Activity Policy.
At the Board meeting held on October 14, the Board formalized the Club’s involvement or lack of involvement in the political process within our community. Most of what is in the policy is past practice. The problem with only having past practice is a potential lack of consistency. It is the Board’s hope that by formally adopting a policy, we will increase consistency of implementation and will avoid potential hard feelings surrounding the political process among our membership. I believe this policy will fair to all concerned, build goodwill and better friendships and will be beneficial to all concerned.
