On Thursday, October 10 we held the first Alternative Rotary Meeting at Fresh – Downtown Lima. Image

We were very pleased with the response and plan to continue offering this on a monthly basis.  President Mike assured that the key components of any good Rotary meeting were included.  There was fellowship and Rotary business conducted at the meeting.  We learned about “baby gender reveal” parties and learned about the generational differences surrounding this practice.  If you want to learn more about that, talk with Bob McPheron!  Up-coming service opportunities were discussed.  Jon Rockhold lead a discussion regarding the process of inducting new members into our club.  Good suggestions came out of that discussion which will be implemented.

The next Alternate Rotary Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 14 at Fresh – Downtown Lima.  We will meet at 7:30 a.m.  The meeting will be held to one hour.  Rotary will provide coffee and you will have the option of buying breakfast if you want.  This is a great opportunity for a Rotary make-up meeting and to learn to know fellow Rotarians in a more intimate setting.

The bottom line is – we really had a good time while fulfilling part of our responsibilities as a Rotarian.  We hope to see you on November 14
