Here are the highlights from the June 10 board meeting.
Call to Order Demi Burden
President Demi Burden called the meeting to order at 11:35 A.M. with the following board members present: Demi Burden, Aaron McLaurine, Jennifer Mason, Russ Decker, Richard Warren, Jeff Unterbrink, Corey Frazier. Also, Secretary Anne Decker, Treasurer Tracey Regula, incoming Treasurer Jason Bice and incoming board member Berlin Carroll were present.

Approval of the May 13, 2025 Board Meeting Minutes
McLaurine made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2025 board meeting. Regula seconded the motion. Board approved.
Attendance Report for May 2025
One new member joined the club and three members resigned in May. May attendance was 35.695%. The month ended with 139 active members and 3 honorary members.
President’s Report Demi Burden
District 6600 Quadrant Conference
75 Rotarians from 12 clubs attended the Rotary District 6600 Quadrant Conference on Saturday, May 17 in Lima, including 8 Lima Rotarians. Rotarians began the day volunteering at the West Ohio Food Bank, then went to Shawnee Country Club for lunch and family activities during the afternoon.

District Grant
Russ Decker reported that he will be applying for a $2,500 district grant to fund the building of a miniature Rotary pavilion at Safety City. The application must be submitted by June 30, 2025. Decker also announced that a lot for the pavilion has been selected.

Rotary Night at the Locos
Rotary Night at the Locos is June 24 when the Locos take on the Mariners. Tickets are being given out at regular club meetings.

Zoom Membership
McLaurine made a motion to renew the Lima Rotary Club’s Zoom membership one year for $160. Warren seconded the motion. Board Approved.

Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing
Jeff Unterbrink reported that all sponsors have been secured for the Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing on August 22 at Hidden Creek Golf Club. The committee is currently contacting potential hole sponsors and signing up teams. The entry fee is $320 for a four person team.

District Governor’s Visit
Russ Decker reported that 2025-2026 District 6600 Governor Pam Brumbaugh will visit the Lima Rotary Club on September 29. Members of the Ada Rotary Club have been invited to join us for the meeting. Governor Pam will be spending the night in Lima. Following the meeting, Russ Decker plans to give her a tour of some of our projects and has invited her to his house for a cookout that night. Board members are also invited.

Russ Decker requested that up to $500 of the District 6600 reimbursement the club received be spent on a pair of tickets to the Ohio State Buckeyes/UCLA game on November 15. Any member who brings in a new member from July-October will be entered in a drawing for the tickets. Unterbrink made a motion to approve the expense. McLaurine seconded the motion. Board approved.

Treasurer’s Report Tracey Regula
Regula shared information from the club’s Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. The club’s total income through May 31, 2025 is $108,687.25. Total expenses are $98,270.13. Net income is $10,417.12.
Mason made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Frazier seconded the motion. Board approved.
Russ Decker made a motion to distribute $8,443.34 from dues contributions and $7,360.67 from scholarship contributions to the Lima Rotary Foundation. McLaurine seconded the motion. Board approved.
