Here are the highlights from the January 13 board meeting.
Call to Order                                                                                                               Craig Kupferberg
President-Elect Craig Kupferberg called the meeting to order at 11:51 A.M. with the following board members present: Craig Kupferberg, Aaron McLaurine, Beth Seibert, Corey Frazer, Berlin Carroll, Chip Bullock. Also, Secretary Anne Decker and treasurer Jason Bice were present.

Approval of the December 9, 2025 Board Meeting Minutes
Carroll made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2025 board meeting. Bullock seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
Attendance Report for December 2025
One new member joined the club and two members resigned in December. December attendance was 36.774%. The month ended with 132 active members and 4 honorary members.

Board Nominations
Nominations are being sought for the Lima Rotary Club board of directors. Six candidates are needed for three seats.
 
Annual Audit of Books
Jason Bice will contact the audit committee to schedule this year’s annual audit of the club’s books.
 
Christmas Extravaganza
The Christmas Extravaganza/Raffle raised $8,836 for the Lima Rotary Foundation.
 
PolioPlus Campaign
The PolioPlus campaign raised $3,150.
 
Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing
The Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing raised $27,200 for the Lima Rotary Club Scholarship Fund.
 
Ugly Sweater Holiday Party
The Ugly Sweater Holiday Party is January 13 at 5:30 at Milano Café. Appetizers and wine will be provided.
 
District 6600 Speech Competition
The Lima Rotary Club is hosting the Rotary District 6600 Speech Competition on April 11 at the Mercy Health GME building. Corey Frazer volunteered to chair the local portion of the event.
 
December Calendar
Since the club’s December calendar is very busy, President Russ Decker has suggested moving the Salvation Army bell ringing to a Saturday in November, scheduling the Holiday Home Tour on the first Saturday in December and the Special Needs Christmas Party on the second Saturday in December each year. Board members concurred.
 
Ride For MESA
The annual bike ride for MESA will have an overnight stop in Lima on June 20. Lodging and food are needed for the riders. Carroll made a motion to approve the cost of meals for the riders. Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved. Lodging will be sought in club members’ homes or possibly at a school.
 
 
District 6600 Conference
The Rotary District 6600 Conference is April 25 and 25 at Sawmill Creek Resort.

Treasurer’s Report                                                                                                     Jason Bice          
Jason Bice shared information from the club’s Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. The club’s total income through December 31, 2025 is $65,252.16. Total expenses are $52,389.75. Net profit is $12,862.41.
McLaurine made a motion to approve the December treasurer’s report. Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
Seibert made a motion to transfer the proceeds of the Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing the Lima Rotary Club Scholarship Fund. Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved.
Bullock made a motion to transfer the proceeds of the Christmas Extravaganza/Raffle to the Lima Rotary Foundation. McLaurine seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
New Business                                                                                                             Craig Kupferberg
Applications
Seibert made a motion to approve the applications of Amy Howard, Community Resource Director at Kessler Estates and Brian Dykstra, Director of the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. McLaurine seconded the motion. Board approved.
Resignations
Seibert made a motion to approve the resignations of Paul Swartz and Andrew Rager with. Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
Motion To Adjourn
Seibert made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Bice seconded the motion. Board approved. Kupferberg adjourned the meeting at 12:36 P.M.
