Here are the highlights of the July 14 board meeting.
Call to Order                                                                                                               Craig Kupferberg
President Craig Kupferberg called the meeting to order at 11:44 A.M. with the following board members present: Craig Kupferberg, Russ Decker, Chip Bullock, Carol Buettner, Josh Unterbrink. Also, Secretary Anne Decker and bookkeeper Amy Ricker were present. A quorum was not present

Approval of the June 9, 2026 Board Meeting Minutes
A quorum was not present, so a vote on the June 9, 2026 minutes was deferred to the August board meeting.
 
Attendance Report for June 2026
No new members joined the club and two members resigned in June 2026. June attendance was 39.745%. The month ended with 127 active members and 5 honorary members.     
 
President’s Report                                                                                                     Craig Kupferberg
Welcome
Kupferberg shared his goals for the 2026-2027 year which include: membership at 130, more socials, socials with family-friendly activities, PolioPlus donations of $3,000, annual fund donations of $6,000, more members participating in service.
 
Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing
The Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing is scheduled for August 19 at Hidden Creek Golf Club. Approximately $25,000 has been raised so far. Sponsorships and teams are being sought.
 
Guardians Baseball Game
Rotary District 6600 is joining two other districts at the Guardians game on August 19. Ticket proceeds will benefit PolioPlus.
 
Fair Ticket Takers
The Lima Rotary Club will be taking tickets at grandstand events at the Allen County Fair in exchange for a $1,000 donation to the club. Volunteers are being sought.
 
Tax Return
The club’s annual tax return is again being prepared by Tracey Regula. Anne Decker and Amy Ricker have provided her with the necessary information.
 
Young Professionals
Kupferberg is looking into possible collaborations with Lima Young Professionals, a Chamber of Commerce organization for professionals from the ages of 18-45. He hopes the club can work on projects with them and potentially increase the club’s membership.
 
Board Reports
Holiday Home Tour
Russ Decker reported that two, possibly three homes have been secured for the 2026 Holiday Home Tour. Two to three more homes are being sought. Four sponsorships have been secured in the amount of $2,500 each.
 
Treasurer’s Report                                                                                                            
The club’s total income through June 30, 2026 is $98,583.34. Total expenses are $114,481.89. Net loss is $15,898.55.
A quorum was not present, so a vote on the June 2026 treasurer’s report was deferred to the August board meeting.

Since a quorum was not present, Kupferberg requested an email vote to approve the two applications and the resignation. Josh Unterbrink made a motion to accept the applications, and accept the resignation with regrets. Beth Seibert seconded the motion. Board approved.

Kupferberg adjourned the meeting at 12:26 P.M.
