Here are the highlights from the February 11th board meeting.
Call to Order                                                                                       Ken Dysert
President Dysert called the meeting together at 11:41 AM with the following members present:  Carol Buettner, John Ficorilli, Peggy Ehora, Andy Farley, Jed Metzger, Theresa Schnipke, Paul Swartz, Anne Decker and Club Secretary Rita Brown.  Also Guest Russ Decker attended the meeting.

January ended with the total number members at 163 including 4 Honorary Members and 159 Active and Active Corporate Members.  The month included two new members and three resignations.  Attendance averaged 44.42% for the three meetings held during January.  Attendance appears to be picking up!

Rotary Board of Directors' Candidates
Farley made a motion to approve the following slate of candidates submitted for the Rotary Board of Directors: 
  • Keith Horner
  • Shelly Diepenbrock
  • Craig Kupferberg
  • Sophia Loser
  • Derek Stemen
  • Andy Wannemacher 
Metzger seconded the motion.  Board approved. Terms for the newly elected members will run from July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2023.
 
Dysert provided the following slate of candidates for the Lima Rotary Foundation Board as submitted by Lesley Fry, Incoming President of the Foundation.

Updated Schedule of Events being planned.
  • The Speech and Essay Contest will be held March 30, 2020.                        
  • District Conference will be held May 1-2 Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center.   Please consider attending – even for one day.
  • The first meeting of the Golf Committee for the Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing is scheduled for February 24, 2020.
  • The next Rotary Board of Directors and Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees meeting will be held Tuesday March 10th.  At that time, the newly elected members to each Board will be announced.
  • The Annual Meeting of the Lima Rotary Club will be held on Monday April 20, 2020.   Preparation and Planning for the Meeting are underway.
 
Board Reports:
Social Committee- updates                                                                 John Ficorilli
The Social Committee Planning is currently underway.  The Club will hold the first Trivia night in March.  Other events being considered include a bunch and having family events during the summer.

The PolioPlus Auction held Monday February 10, 2020 went very well and raised $1,110.00.

Schnipke made a motion to approve his application.  Ehora seconded the motion.  Board approved.
                                                                             
There will be No Club Meeting on Monday February 17, 2020 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
                                    
There being no further business, President Dysert adjourned the meeting at 12:35 PM.
