Call to Order Demi Burden
President Demi Burden called the meeting to order at 11:37 A.M. with the following board members present: Demi Burden, Aaron McLaurine, Jennifer Mason and Jeff Unterbrink. Also, Secretary Anne Decker and Don Diglia were present. A quorum was not present

Attendance Report for February 2025
Two new members joined the club and one member resigned in February. February attendance was 37.618%. The month ended with 147 active members and 3 honorary members.

Annual Audit of Books
Burden reported that the annual audit of the club’s books took place on March 7. Andy Farley, Carol Buettner, Jim Osmon, Demi Burden, Tracey Regula and Amy Ricker review the books for the 2023-2024 Rotary year and found no problems.

District 6600 Legislative Meeting
More than 140 Rotarians from District 6600 met on Zoom on February 22, 2025 to discuss whether the district should return a surplus of funds to the clubs or keep it. Demi Burden, Russ Decker and John Ficorilli represented Lima on the call. During the meeting, 51% of the electors voted to return the $83,000 in surplus to the clubs on a per capita basis with no restrictions. The club has not yet received its check.

Tour of Apollo
The Lima Rotary Club will hold its March 24 meeting at Apollo Career Center and will tour the school’s new building. Anne Decker will send information to the club to make sure they know of the change in meeting place.

Joint Board Meeting
The joint meeting of the Lima Rotary Club and Lima Rotary Foundation boards of directors is scheduled for April 8, 2025 at 11:30 at The Met. The board ballots will be counted at this meeting.

Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Lima Rotary Club has been scheduled for April 14 at 11:45 at the Civic Center.

Blood Clinic
The 2025 Blood Clinic has been scheduled for May 3 at Senior Citizens Services from 6:30-9:30am. Volunteers are needed for the event.

Quadrant Conference
The Rotary Club in the southwest quadrant of District 6600 will hold a quadrant conference in Lima on May 17. We will begin the day at 9:00 A.M. helping out at the West Ohio Food Bank before heading to Shawnee Country Club for lunch and an afternoon of family fun. As part of the conference, the Lima Rotary Club is collecting food and toiletries for the West Ohio Food Bank.

Beer Barrel Pizza has offered to hold a fundraiser for the Lima Rotary Club in which the club would encourage its members and supporters to eat at Beer Barrel on a certain day and the club would receive a 20% donation of the total amount of the club supporters’ receipts on that day. Burden will contact Beer Barrel to schedule a date for the fundraiser.

Treasurer’s Report Demi Burden
The club’s Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet showed total income through February 28, 2025 of $84,079.59. Total expenses are $77,877.17. Net income is $6,198.42.
A quorum was not present to approve the treasurer’s report.
New Business Demi Burden
Resignations
Resignations were received from Matt Otto, Todd Washam, Kevin Stolly, Barry Clark and Chris Hardesty. A quorum was no present to approve the resignations, but an email vote was taken following the meeting. Tracey Regula made a motion to approve the resignations with regret. Corey Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved.
