Highlights
The Lima Rotary Club Board of Directors met Tuesday April 8 2014. Highlights of the meeting follow:
The Annual Meeting will be held Monday April 28, 2014.
Handouts for the Annual Meeting will be available beginning next Monday April 14, 2014 at the Club Meeting.
Annual awards will be presented to club members who have shown an exceptional level of service at the Changing of the Guard Party scheduled for June 2014. This year the names of the awards will reflect former members of the Lima Rotary Club who have shown an exceptional level of excellence and service. The awards will be renamed as follows:
The Goodnight International Service Award.
The Rudolph Community Service Award.
The Rex Perry Club Service Award
The Wemmer Vocational Award named for one of the founders of the Club.
The Past Presidents luncheon will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2014. The meeting will focus on the history of the Lima Rotary Club - “Coming to know the greats.” The goal will be to gather information that can be incorporated into the 2014 – 2015 100th anniversary commemoration of the Lima Rotary Club,
The current Dashboard Report was reviewed by the club. Membership has remained fairly consistent since July 1, 2013. To-date 17 members have resigned and 19 will be inducted by the end of May as 7 new members are scheduled to join the club. Attendance has been averaging around 37% - 40%.
Currently 21 members are in arrears in paying their dues at an amount of $11,091.
Currently 33% of the Club Members are involved in Activities and Committees.
The Lima Rotary Club has 101 Paul Harris Fellows and 2 major donors.
Currently 138 Rotarians are actively contributing to the Annual Fund Program - Every Rotarian Every Year – YTD
Currently 97 are giving at the $100 annual contribution level
The number needed to reach $100 per member is 68.5
To-date the Lima Rotary Foundation has awarded the following grants:
Lima Symphony Orchestra $1,500 West Central OH Autism Comm $ 800
Lima Symphony Orchestra 1,000 Equestrian Therapy Program 1,000
Lima Symphony Orchestra 864 Allen County Dare Program 2,000
Rally Point Youth Center 500 Barbers Give Bikes 2,500
Mobility Foundation 500 Family Promise 1,520
Coleman Behavioral Health 500 Allen County Youth Leadership 3,000
Big Day of Serving 500 Guiding Light Maternity Home 2,500
Children’s Development Center 674
Scholarships – 726 Scholarships have been awarded since May 2001 in the amount of $488,500.
Cindy Wood presented an update from the Membership Committee. Currently 10 slots are available for Corporate Memberships. The Board discussed contacting local companies asking them to consider a Corporate Membership.
Wood further said a group of candidates had been proposed by club members at the last club meeting. Those names will be shared with the club so sponsors can be named for the potential candidates. The Membership Committee will continue with weekly updates at the club meetings.
Four applicants were proposed and considered for membership:

· Jim Mason
· Jeffrey Stacy
· Dale Gisi
Wood moved to accept and approve the applications. Osmon seconded. Board approved.
A resignation was submitted by Andy Tata. Osmon made a motion to accept with regret. Fett seconded the motion. Board approved.
Lawson presented the finance report for February and March 2014 and the Past Due Accounts Report. Members with outstanding balances over $500 will be contacted by phone.
The meeting was adjourned.
