Highlights
                                                                       
President Mike Schoenhofer called the meeting to order at 11:45 AM.                                                                
He stated two of the newly elected Directors agreed to serve as Vice President of the Club for 2014 - 2015.  The Board agreed to vote by written ballot.  The voting resulted in the election of David Frost as Vice President for the upcoming year.
 
The Past Presidents’ Luncheon -“Meet the Greats.” will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Shawnee Country Club
at 12 noon.  The meeting will focus on The History of the Lima Rotary Club.  Schoenhofer will host the event.
 
The Rotary 6600 District Conference will be held May 16 – 18 at Maumee Bay State Park.  Schoenhofer will present details on The Lima Rotary Club Blood Clinic named as one of the Best Practices within District 6600.
 
The MESA Bike Tour will be June 21 – 26.  The group will spend one evening in Lima.
 
The Changing of the Guard Party is set for June 26, 2014 at Shawnee Country Club and will begin at 6:00 PM. 
                                                                                               
President Elect Baldridge indicated she is working on the 2014-2015 Budget with Treasurer Cheryl Lawson.
The 2015 Table of Organization is coming together.   Matt Otto will chair the Rex Perry Golf Outing. Mike Swick will chair the Blood Clinic, Jonalee Schmidt will chair the Rottery Drawing and Colleen Morris will chair the Christmas Party.
Mike Schoenhofer, Jeff Sprague and Cindy Wood will be in charge of programs. 
Drew Fields will be in charge of the Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army at Christmas time.
The Every Rotarian Every Year Campaign Chair has not been named yet. 
 
The Centennial Committee will meet May 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the VMCCC in Room 6 to begin planning the Centennial Celebration scheduled for May 16, 2015.  Plans for the evening include a Lima Rotary History Display, the Gala Celebration and the awarding of the $100,000 in grants.  The members of the Lima Rotary Club will each be given a Rotary International tie or scarf.
 
Cindy Wood shared two reports.  One included names of potential candidates for Rotary that the club membership had proposed.  She encouraged Board Members to review the report and to select potential candidates they would be willing to sponsor. The other report reflected current Rotarians who have attendance at lower than 30%.  She asked the Board to review it and select any of the Rotarians they would be willing to contact and invite to attend a meeting
                             
New Member Applications were received for Douglas Degan and Marcelyn Boone.
Resignations were received from Scott Ferris effective May 31, 2014 and Micki Vollmer and Paul Nardini.  Wood made a motion to accept the new applications as submitted and to accept the resignations with regret.  Osmon seconded the motion.  Board approved. 
                       
Treasurer Cheryl Lawson stated a Certificate of Deposit in the amount of $6,800 plus interest in coming due. She will cash it and put it in a savings account at Superior Federal Credit Union.  The CD will be used for the Centennial Celebrations.
                                                                              
She presented the Financial Report for April 2014 and the Aging Summary.  Schoenhofer will call those in arrears for an extended period of time. Wood made a motion to approve the reports as submitted.  Osmon seconded the motion.  Board approved.
 
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
