CONTENT:
  •         President-Elect, Esther Baldridge led the Board Meeting for President Mike Schoenhofer while he was away.
  •         In discussion about Membership and Communication, Secretary Dray explained the process for communicating with new members as they apply to the club via email to let them know they have been approved by the Board, their references checked out and they have been assigned a classification via email.  They are then invited to attend the next orientation.  Cindy Wood agreed to follow up with sponsors to encourage them to bring the new members along and introduce them to others in the club.
  •         The Centennial Committee continues working on scheduling  the Rotary International Speaker for the anniversary in April.
  •         The second of the Alternative Monthly Rotary Meetings was at FRESH on Main Street on Thursday, November 14th at 7:30am.
  •         Vice President David Runk reported the Bike-a-thon results and encouraged community/business “rivalries” to challenge each other in the future.  For example St. Rita’s and Lima Memorial.
  •         Runk also reported the Polio Plus event at the mall was poorly supported and attending by very few Rotarians.  He reported there may be little understanding for the need for involvement in this initiative.
  •        Dick Warren updated the Board on the Rotary Drum Line sponsorship reporting that uniforms, drums and equipment has been purchased.  The drum line is practicing Tuesdays             at Bradfield Center with 12-15 students participating.
  •         The Board will host a joint meeting with the Foundation in February and board members have been asked to think about what they want to discuss.
  •         The Board accepted two resignations with regret. Those being Tom Martin and Julie Pantello.
  •         The Board reviewed and approved the financial report with President Schoenhofer having a list of Rotarians who need to receive phone calls regarding past due balances with the club.  Treasurer C. Deitering reported having made contact with most of the past due members on the 90 days past due list.  The remaining will hear from President Schoenhofer.
The meeting adjourned at 1:13pm.
