Here are the highlights from the December 10 board meeting.
Call to Order  Ken Dysert
Dysert called the meeting to order at 11:43 AM with the following members present:  Carol Buettner, Andy Farley, Jeff Fitzgerald, Jed Metzger, Catheryn Sarno, Theresa Schnipke, Paul Swartz, and Anne Decker.  Also Treasurer Dan Best and Secretary Rita Brown were present.

            Attendance report
The month of November ended with 163 members with 4 honorary members and 159 active and active corporate members in the club.  No new members joined. There was one resignation.  Attendance for the month was 40.44%. 
 
Presidents Report  Ken Dysert
July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019 Tax Return  
The return was completed and filed by Member and CPA Tracy Regula. 
Personal Hygiene Drive for West Ohio Foodbank- Thru December 16       
The club drive still has one more week.  Remember to bring your donations next Monday December 16th.
Hat and Glove Drive for the Salvation Army - Thru December 16 
The Hat and Glove Drive will run one more week.  Remember to bring your donations next Monday December 16th
Christmas Gifts to Milano’s and VMCC staff
Sarno made a motion to acknowledge the Milano Wait Staff and VMCC Rotary Support Contact at the Club Christmas Party on December 16, 2019.  Metzger seconded the motion.  Board approved.                          
Special Needs Christmas party and Salvation Bell ringing on December 14           
The Annual Special Needs Christmas Party and the Salvation Army Bell ringing will be this Saturday December 14, 2019.
 
Nomination Committee for the Rotary Board                              
The Rotary Board Director terms of Sarno, Metzger and Swartz will be expiring at the end of June 2020.  Metzger made a motion to form a nominating committee to begin the process of selecting candidates to be placed on the ballot.  Those agreeing to become candidates need to understand they must be willing to serve as President.  Sarno seconded the motion.  Board approved.

Sarno indicated updates and future plans will be shared in January.                                
Christmas party update                                                                                     
Sarno indicated planning is almost wrapped up but there is still time for members to submit more live auction items. Bob Ulm will be playing the piano.  Club Member Rob Nelson will be doing the wine auction and the Elvis bust will transition from one member to another again.
 
Polio Fund Raising Campaign                                                                              John Ficorilli     
Ficorili will be sharing plans for the Polio Campaign when finalized.                                
 
Treasurer Report                                                                                               Dan Best
Best reviewed the P&L and Balance Sheet - Previous Years Comparisons for the time periods July – Nov 2019.
The Cash Positon is up as the Blood Clinic proceeds have not yet been not been paid to the Lima Rotary Foundation.  Net income is comparable if the contribution to the Amphitheatre is removed from the report.
The Board reviewed the A/R Aging Summary.  Dave Frost has been working directly with P & G.  Their corporate account is up-to-date and they have indicated interest in having active members in the club again. 
 
As the new Credit Card processing is put in place, Farley made a motion to charge the processing fee to the member.  Fitzgerald seconded the motion.   Board approved.  Notification will be included in member invoices. The Board Members congratulated Best on the great job he is doing as Club Treasurer.

Resignation
Scott Unverferth has resigned as the Primary Member of the HCF Corporate Account.  He will be replaced as Primary Member by Kerri Romes, President of HCF.   Metzger made a motion to approve his resignation with regret.  Schnipke seconded the motion.   Board approved.
 
Jan 14, 2020 Rotary Board Meeting
As SCC will be closed for the first three weeks in January 2020, the January Board Meeting will be moved to the Met.  Details will follow.
 
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:40 PM.
