Here are the highlights from the July 10th board meeting.
Call to Order                                                                                                               Russ Decker
President Russ Decker called the meeting to order at 11:37 A.M. with the following board members present: Russ Decker, Craig Kupferberg, Chip Bullock, Jennifer Mason, Aaron McLaurine, Beth Seibert, Corey Frazer and Berlin Carroll. Also, Secretary Anne Decker, Treasurer Jason Bice, and bookkeeper Amy Ricker were present.

Approval of the June 10, 2025 Board Meeting Minutes
Mason made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 10, 2025 board meeting. McLaurine seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
Attendance Report for June 2025
No new member joined the club and one member resigned in June. June attendance was 35.963%. The month ended with 138 active members and 3 honorary members.            
 
President’s Report                                                                                                     Russ Decker
Milano’s Increase
Milano’s has informed the club that the price for lunch will be increased from $13.50 per person to $14.00 per person effective August 1, 2025. Billing will be at a minimum of 50; it was previously 55.
 
District Grant
Russ Decker reported that he applied for a $2,500 district grant to fund the building of a miniature Rotary pavilion at Safety City. Carpentry students from Apollo Career Center will design and build the pavilion. Decker will schedule a work day when it is finished so Rotarians can paint and landscape the pavilion.
 
District Governor’s Visit
Rotary District 6600 Governor Pam Brumbaugh will speak to the Lima Rotary Club on September 29. Russ Decker told the board that she will be spending the night in Lima. Following the meeting, he plans to give her a tour of our many community projects and invite her to dinner with board members.
 
Membership Incentives
The club has purchased two tickets to the OSU/UCLA football game on November 15. Any member who brings in a new member between now and October 31 will be entered into a drawing to win the tickets. Decker has also printed business cards with a QR code that links to our membership application that members can give to prospective members.
 
Beer Barrel Fundraiser
Beer Barrel Pizza & Grill is having a fundraiser for the Lima Rotary Club on Tuesday, July 15 from 5-8 at the Market Street Location. Diners who show the server the flyer or mention it will have 15% of the amount of their bill donated to the Lima Rotary Club.
 
Holiday Home Tour
Two homes have been secured for the Holiday Home Tour on December 7. Decker would like to have at least three more homes on tour and asked board members to talk to their friends and neighbors about it. $10,000 in sponsorships have already been committed.
 
Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing
$17,250 has already been collected for the Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing on August 22. Teams and hole sponsors are still being sought.
 
Treasurer’s Report                                                                                                     Jason Bice          
Bice shared information from the club’s Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. The club’s total income through June 30, 2025 is $110,537.25. Total expenses are $108,823.343. Net income is $1,713.91.
 
New Business                                                                                                             Russ Decker
Reinstatement
Bice made a motion to approve a request for reinstatement from Jon Rockhold. Kupferberg seconded the motion. Board approved.
Resignations
McLaurine made a motion to approve the resignation of Paul Crow with regret. Frazer seconded the motion. Board approved.
 
Motion To Adjourn
McLaurine made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mason seconded the motion. Board approved. Burden adjourned the meeting at 12:35 P.M.
