Board of Directors Meeting Highlights

The Lima Rotary Club Board of Directors met on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. The following are highlights from that meeting:
- President Mike Schoenhofer discussed the revisions to the Club Dashboard with hopes to present it to the club in the next few months. The dashboard will be designed to look at data from the previous few months to see where the club is going and help establish future goals.
- President Mike also announced the new Webmaster position (approved by the board in September) will be filled by Anne Decker with Adman. This will begin the movement to more of a social media presence and a more interactive website appearance using the current website system.
- The Annual Report, prepared by Rita Brown, is in print and will be distributed to the club soon.
- The Board voted to cancel the December 30 regular meeting due to lack of attendance the week between Christmas and New Years. The December 23 meeting will run as usual.
- President-Elect Esther Baldridge reported the Centennial Committee is moving forward with having the current Rotary International President come to Lima for the celebration in April 2014. The committee will establish a budget and discuss signage at the District Conference as well as across the community to promote the history of the Lima Rotary Club.
- Baldridge also reported the First Alternate Meeting was held at Fresh in downtown Lima Thursday, October 10 at 7:30am. The next Alternate Meeting will be November 14 at 7:30am also at FRESH on Main Street. (see article in the eSpoke for details).
- The Board voted to approve the new member applications of Art Brinkman, Charles Wolfe and Michael Lamb(pending reference checks).
- The Board also approved the resignation of Randall Cox.
- President Mike will follow up with members who are are more than 90 days past due after they received notification letters in August.
- The meeting adjourned at 1:09pm.
