Bob Ruehl wins his third award from Rotary International.
Lima Rotarian Bob Ruehl was recently acknowledged with the Rotary International Foundation Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented at the Induction of our District 6600 Governor. Our District 6600 has only had four recipients over the years, and Bob is the first Lima Rotarian to receive this prestigious award!

The Trustees of the Rotary International Foundation grant this award to Rotarians who have rendered exceptional service to the International Foundation beyond the district level for an extended time. No more than 50 Distinguished Service awards are presented worldwide each year. The award is determined by active service rather than financial contributions.

This is the third time Bob has been recognized by Rotary International. He received his first award, a Citation for Meritorious Service in 2012. His second sward, An Avenues of Service Award for Individual Rotarians, came in 2016. And now in 2020, Bob received the Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award. Bob's unending passion for the work and for people has changed and improved countless lives throughout the world.

Bob, your fellow Lima Rotarians thank you and salute you for your dedication and commitment. Well done, and we can’t wait to hear more about your next project and adventure.
