Christmas Extravaganza nets more than $7,600 for Lima Rotary Foundation!
The room was full of smiles, laughs and fellowship as our regular weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Lima was transformed into a Christmas Extravaganza! Starting with an awesome performance by the Chamber Choir from Elida High School, the annual event featured a silent auction, live auction, the Christmas raffle, and of course finding a home for Elvis for another year!! All this and very special hosts, Elf Lesley and Elf Andy leading the festivities.
Congratulations to this year’s Christmas raffle winners:
Carol Buettner, $100 gift certificate to The Met
Jed Metzger, $250 gift certificate to Von’s Jewelry
Craig Kupferberg, $500 in digital advertising from The Lima News
Adah Ellerbrock, $1,000 cash!
Special thanks to Jeff Fitzgerald and Larry Webb for unexpectedly donating their holiday tie and suit, respectively, and raising collectively more than $600 to get our live auction started!! Todd Washam was the successful bidder for a ride on a Lima fire truck in the 2024 Irish parade and Larry Webb bought the visit from Santa and then donated that visit to the pediatric rehab center at Mercy Health St. Rita’s. After a few “passes” Elvis found a new home with Heather Rutz.
Thanks to everyone involved, this week’s Christmas Extravaganza raised $7,614 for our Lima Rotary Foundation.
