Flowing Forward is a collaborative research effort aimed at improving water quality throughout the Maumee River Watershed and into Lake Erie. Led by The Ohio State University in partnership with the Defiance Agricultural Research Association (DARA), the project studies how specific conservation practices can reduce nutrient runoff and prevent harmful algal blooms.
It’s a key example of Rotary’s commitment to environmental sustainability, supported by clubs and leadership from District 6600 and District 6400.
On Friday, June 27, the Defiance County OSU Extension Office will host a free Flowing Forward - A Clean Water Celebration field day from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m., including lunch and a guided tour of the research sites.
