June 2024Connect. Partner. Serve.
June is Rotary Fellowships Month
Rotary Fellowships Month this June is a great time to reflect on your hobbies, interests, or profession and connect with a fellowship. Or consider forming your own! Rotary Fellowships are international, independently organized groups of people who have a common interest or profession. They host activities and networking events, and they offer professional development opportunities virtually and around the world. With more than 100 officially recognized fellowships, you have so many ways to connect and build community with new friends throughout the Rotary world. View the full list of Rotary Fellowships to find one that fits your interests, or write to rotaryfellowships@rotary.org if you have an idea for a new fellowship.

Avenue of Service: Community Service
Rotary honors six members as People of Action
Rotary recognized six extraordinary members as People of Action: Champions of Impact earlier this year. This distinction celebrates the honorees’ successes in projects that have had a positive, long-term impact in communities around the world. Among other things, these projects promoted mental health, protected mangrove forests, and helped Indigenous young people expand their economic opportunities. Learn more about the Champions of Impact.
Increase your impact
Sponsor a Rotary Community Corps to increase your club’s impact

To make lasting change in your community, partner with a passionate group of local leaders. A Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is made up of your neighbors, who understand the unique challenges and opportunities in your community. Each RCC is sponsored by a local Rotary club and, together with the club, plans and carries out projects in the community. This collaborative effort increases the impact of projects by creating local solutions for local problems. Consider sponsoring an RCC in your community. Visit the Rotary Community Corps page.

Rotary Citation name change
The name of the Rotary Citation is changing to the Club Excellence Award on 1 July. Although the name is changing, the purpose and requirements of the award will remain the same. It recognizes Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact clubs that achieve certain goals that are aligned with Rotary’s Action Plan. The RI Board changed the name to better convey the award’s purpose of honoring clubs for their excellence. If you have any questions, write to riawards@rotary.org.
