The Bath High School Interact Club continues to provide service projects to our school and community during the pandemic.
The Interact Club recently participated in Allen County Board of DD’s Reverse parade to celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. In the heavy February snowfall, students shoveled out their neighbors, built snowmen outside nursing home windows, as well as cleared snow around fire hydrants. The club has been a staple in the concession stand this winter as well. The kids helped the athletic department by filling vacant spots and manning the concession stand for boys and girls basketball games weekly (approx. 4 to 6 kids a night, 4 nights a week for the past 3 months!) We are grateful our club has been able to continue to operate this year, many clubs inside the high school did not. But it’s clear our kids miss our regular meetings, the simple act of being together, and holding what has become our annual events. Chief Kitchen and I look forward to resuming “normal” Interact happenings next school year.  It’s been a year to remember no doubt!
