The Bath High School Interact Club is up and running for the 2020-21 school year.
We met with our elected officers right before school started to lay out plans for the year. Many of the club's flagship projects will return. Students must obtain 24 hours of documented community service hours to successfully complete the year and attend the pinning ceremony in May at a Lima Rotary meeting.

So far this year we have had two meetings. Attendance has been in the 55-65 range which is down a bit from past years but we think it may be because we lost our momentum during COVID-19 as we were unable to meet regularly for an extended period of time. We think more may join as we get going on projects.

A few events we have worked on this year include our Spirit Den, where the public can purchase Bath clothing and other swag. The club makes a portion of the profits and the members help with delivery of the items. This is a joint project with our friends at Proforma. We hosted a community tailgate party with Union Chapel Church back in August which was a lot of fun and was well attended. We did face painting and collected donations at the football gates at the annual “Gold Game” for pediatric cancer and we had a booth and passed out candy at the Homecoming game tailgate party.

Some upcoming events include: volunteering at the Bath Middle School Book Fair, helping out at the ACESC Fall Fest, and a hygiene drive with the West Ohio Food Bank.

We are looking forward to a great year of “Service Above Self” and are thankful for the support of the Lima Rotary Club.
