The Lima Rotary Foundation has awarded $5,500 in grants

The Lima Rotary Foundation Board met on Monday January 27, 2014. The following grants were awarded at that meeting.

Allen Lima Youth Leadership Program requested for $3,000 to fund 2014 ALL Youth program. The program is a county and citywide program for high school sophomores and juniors of Allen County that actively involves, educates and challenges youth to reach their full potential.

The Guiding Light Maternity Home requested $2,500 to help young women who are pregnant prepare for the future with proper guidance. Their goal is to ensure that the young mothers do not fall into the gap of long term government assistance, poverty and hopelessness by providing assistance for them to take the necessary steps to gain stability and to maintain it.
