Lima Rotary Scholarship Program

The latest scholarships were awarded on Monday August 19, 2013 to the group pictured. 
The Rotary Scholarship Program started twelve years ago when the past presidents were challenged to develop a new club program. The focus was that the program be an economic development activity for the community. The development of the scholarship program was the result of their work. The criteria for the applicants are that they must live or work in Allen County, and attend an accredited school located in Allen County. The goal of the program is that they remain and work in Allen County. The scholarships have been funded by voluntary contributions from the club membership and the Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing.
Since the formation of the scholarship program, 705 students have received scholarships for a total of $472,750 awarded.
