The Rotary Pavilion in Faurot Park has been repainted.

Have you seen how wonderful the Rotary Pavilion in Faurot Park looks? The Lima Rotary Club teamed up with the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council #6 to paint the pavilion. The Lima Rotary Club built the pavilion in 1983 and donated it to the city of Lima. The pavilion has been in need of some minor repairs and a complete repainting, which the city has not been able to perform due to budget constraints. The Rotary Club contacted the Painters Union which generously agreed to provide a class of apprentices to paint the pavilion for free. Rotary provided the paint for the project, Dave Frost,Tracie Sanchez, Greg Ratliff, Kelli DeLong & Bill Timmermeister stepped up to feed the volunteers, Lima Building & Construction Trades rented a van to provide transportation for the apprentices to and from Toledo, and Jeffers Crane donated the lifts. It was tremendous teamwork, and the result is outstanding!
