The Rotary District 6600 Southwest Quadrant Conference had a huge impact!
On May 17, more than 70 Rotarians from 12 clubs in the southwest portion of Rotary International’s District 6600 helped pack food boxes for senior citizens, package other canned items for distribution and even completed yard work at the West Ohio Food Bank.
Clubs participating included Lima, Wapakoneta, St. Marys, NewBremen-NewKnoxville, Celina, Grand Lake, Ada, Kenton, Ottawa-Glandorf, Van Wert, Delphos and McComb. More than 234 pounds of food and hygiene products were donated by club members in addition to more than $11,000, which translates to 70,000-plus meals for families and individuals in the 11-counties served by the West Ohio Food Bank.
“Service above self is what we do,” said Tim Ryan, Rotary District 6600 governor, who also participated in the service project.
