           Rotary International offers and encourages its members to become involved in Rotarian Action Groups.  These groups help clubs and districts design and implement effective, sustainable service projects that are often funded by The Rotary Foundation.  Membership is open to all Rotarians, family members of Rotarians and Rotoractors.  Some of the groups include Alzheimer/Dementia; Blindness; Child Slavery Prevention, Literacy, Microcredit, Peace, Population Control, and AIDS prevention. 
          An example of their work is the Rotarian Action Group Against Child Slavery.  This past November members were invited to attend the Vatican’s conference on human trafficking.  The group raises awareness about and advocates against child slavery while supporting club projects such as the Child Slave Rehabilitation Centre and initiative in Uttar Pradesh, India, which helps freed children receive medical care, attend court proceedings, and live in a safe environment..
