Mike Powell presented the Sgt. at Arms report, welcoming two members’ guests and one guest of the club. 96 members were in attendance the previous week. Fred Seelenbinder gave an update on the Rotary Foundation and the club honored Jim Chiles and Ken Dysert who were inducted as the first Paul Harris fellows for the 2011/2012 year. To date, the Lima Rotary Foundation has received $6,050 in contributions toward its goal of $20,700, with 86% of the club being either Paul Harris Fellows or Paul Harris sustaining members.

The Blue Jackets open the season this Friday night with a new line-up. Matthews says the acquisition of some key players and an infusion of youth will make the team stronger. Right Wing Rick Nash, Center Jeff Carter and Goalie Steve Mason will be central to the team’s chances this year.
