President Lesley plans to focus on public image, membership and the Foundation during her year.
President Lesley opened her first meeting by laying out her vision for the coming year. She plans to focus on public image, membership and the Foundation, and she showed a video explaining how the three initiatives fit together to move the club forward: By promoting Rotary's involvement in the community, more people will know who we are and what we do and that can lead to increased membership and improved public image. Lesley told us that the top three reasons people join service clubs are to make positive impact through service and charitable causes; for business and personal growth; and for networking, socializing and building friendships, and the Lima Rotary Club offers all those opportunities.
Following President Lesley's remarks, Michael Ayers gave an interesting talk on proper flag etiquette, illustrated by beautiful flag photos he's taken.
Also at Monday's meeting, Nicole Daniels exchanged her red badge for her blue badge, and Beth Seibert presented last quarter's Rottery proceeds to Tracie Sanchez for the amphitheater in the amount of $510.
