The Lima Rotary Club planned its course for the upcoming year at Monday's annual meeting.
The Lima Rotary Club's Annual Meeting was held on Monday, June 1. The meeting is a chance to achieve a concensus of all Lima Rotarians regarding club projects, activities and community needs; provide assurance to the incoming leadership team that it has the support of the membership for proposed fundraising and club projects as well as community service activities; establish project revenues for planning club projects for the upcoming year; and ensure that the Lima Rotary Club's strategic plans and projects are aligned with current community needs.
The Rotary Board and the Lima Rotary Foundation recommend the following:
Resolution #1 - 2020-2021 Lima Rotary Fundraising Projects, Goals and Purpose John Ficorilli
These are the proposed fundraising projects and the amounts anticipated.
- Rotary Blood Clinics (Spring/Fall) $20,000 Unrestricted
- Rotary Christmas Raffle & Auction $ 4,000 Unrestricted
- Rotary Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing $35,000 Post-Secondary Scholarships
- Rotary Rottery 50/50 Fundraiser $ 4,000 Designated Charity
- Rotary International Polio Plus Campaign $ 5,000 RI Polio Plus Fund
TOTAL estimated net proceeds $68,000
*Note: The Lima Rotary Club would benefit from additional fundraising activities. We should plan on presenting more ideas to the club for review this year.
Resolution #2 – 2020-2021 Lima Rotary Club Projects, Goals and Funding Source
(Based on Funds Raised above) These are the proposed distribution of the funds raised in #1 above.
- Rotary Post-Secondary Scholarships $35,000 Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing
- Rotary Rottery 50/50 Fundraiser $ 4,000 Rotary Rottery 50/50
- Rotary International Polio Plus Fund $ 5,000 RI Polio Plus Campaign
- Unrestricted Funds for the Foundation $24,000 LRC Fundraising

Resolution #3 – 2020-2021 Lima Rotary Club Partnership Projects
These are the projects the club deems important. The Lima rotary Club recommends that they receive consideration by the Lima Rotary Foundation by way of a traditional grant application process. Amounts to be determined by organizational needs and the LRF.

Resolution #4 – 2020-2021 Rotary Club Community Service Activities
These are club service projects that benefit other organizations.

All resolutions were unanimously approved.
It was also reported that the Lima Rotary Club's income for the Rotary year to date is $12,110.82 and the Lima Rotary Foundation has a combined total of $932,589.97 in all of its funds.
