ArtSpace/Lima is growing on Town Square.
ArtSpace/Lima has begun construction on the building next to their existing gallery at 59 Town Square. Executive Director Sally Windle told us that last year a very generous donor gave them the funds to purchase the building. "In January 2024 ArtSpace started the task of creating a space that will preserve the integrity of the historic side of the square, honor the original building, and marry ArtSpace and 59 together. The plan is to take off the metal façade and expose the original brick and windows." Access to the new building will be through ArtSpace where the gift shop currently is. The new building will allow ArtSpace to exhibit larger pieces than they can now and will give them space to hang a permanent, historic exhibit in addition to their current changing galleries.

Also at Monday's meeting, the Scholarship Committee presented $1,000 scholarships to thirteen non-traditional students who live and are attending school in Allen County. To date, the Lima Rotary Club has awarded 1,237 scholarships totaling $964,085. Thank you for your generosity!
