Marcie Boone was our member Spotlight - she;s from Texas, and currently is site director for INEOS. She started out as a teacher, but ended up in mechanical engineering. She worked for Union Carbide for 20 years, and currently serves on the local Chamber board.
 
Paul Swartz received a special plaque for his work on the Polio Plus campaign - great job Paul.

Our speaker today was Samantha Gossard - originally from Lima and now an accomplished opera singer. Although she did not sing (to much disappointment) she gave us a very interesting view into the life of an opera performer. From audition to rehearsal to performance - months and months of work go into just a few performance dates. She also worked with local students - providing a workshop on how to prepare for a life in the arts...
