The Lima Rotary Club was excited to host the Allen Lima Youth Leadership graduation.

Allen Lima Youth Leadership is a county and city wide youth leadership program for high school sophomores and juniors. The ALL Youth Leadership program actively involves, educates and challenges youth to reach their fullest potential as leaders. As part of the program, the students created projects based on needs they saw in our community. They presented them to the Lima Rotary Club at Monday's meeting and all were outstanding. The topics were adult mental health, negative social media, youth mental health, distracted driving, housing solutions for Lima, and support for sobriety. The winning project was Arrive Alive, which will receive $1,500 from the United Way of Greater Lima. The students plan to use the funds to create a media campaign to encourage people not to drive distracted. Following the presentations, the students graduated from the program, receiving certificates and t-shirts. The Lima Rotary Club and Lima Memorial Health System are the major sponsors of the Allen Lima Youth Leadership program.

Also at Monday's meeting, we inducted two new members, Ian Anderson - Director of Continuous Improvement at Superior Wholesale Distributors, and Robin Frazier - Executive Director of the Lima Community Foundation. Please make them welcome!
