The Lima Rotary Club welcomes the district governor.
Rotary District 6600 Governor Tim Ryan encouraged us to brag about everything that our club does. Not just to the community at large, but to our own members and our families who may not be aware of all we are involved in. "You guys have got an amazing story to tell. You've served the community very well. But if the community doesn't know, how are you going to drive members from the community." Tim is asking all the clubs in the district to create brag sheets that show off our projects and distribute them in the community. You can see the Lima Rotary Club's brag sheet below. They are available at our weekly meetings if you'd like to pick some up.

Also, Tim told us that instead of the annual district conference, which is expensive and poorly attended, Rotary District 6600 is holding quadrant conferences. He's broken the district into four quadrants and the clubs in our area are going to hold a conference on May 17. Details are still being worked out, but the day will likely start with a service project at the West Ohio Food Bank, followed by a social gathering. We'll keep you updated on the details as they become available.

Tim is also considering partnering with Rotary Clubs in Indiana and Canada to apply for a global grant to help clean up Lake Erie.

Also at Monday's meeting, Russ Decker told us that tickets will go on sale for the December 1st Holiday Home Tour shortly. They are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The tour includes six locations that will all be beautifully decorated for Christmas. You can order tickets online here.
