District 6600 Governor Pam Brumbaugh wants us to Unite For Good.
Rotary District 6600 Governor Pam Brumbaugh chose "Roar" as her theme this year because we need to find our voice, stand up for what matters and boldly take action to change lives. Pam told us she joined Rotary in 2007 because her boss told her she had to. But she was inspired to take a more active role after attending the international convention in Seoul in 2016 and discovered that Rotarians from around the world were all facing similar concerns and looking to make an impact on their communities. "I knew wanted to be a part of this family that cared about things as much as I did and where I could truly have an impact." She said that this year's international motto, Unite For Good, is more than just a motto, it's a lifestyle. "It means we bring our differences to the table and we build something better. Rotary is not a solo act, it's a symphony of service powered by everyday people who do extraordinary things." Pam's goals for her years as governor are to build more clubs, increase not just membership, but also participating in the district's clubs, make District 6600 more relevant to the clubs, and create space for collaboration. "Impact grows when everyone is involved in everything that we do. Let's unite for good, not just across clubs, but within our district, because when we move forward together, we move forward stronger. as you reflect why you joined Rotary, and more importantly why you stay, hold on to that purpose, let it inspire your next project, your next invitation to your new member, or your net bold idea because when you connect your why with your what you bring your Rotary journey to life. I challenge you to do more than serve. I want you to unite for good, speak with conviction and roar together for our clubs, our communities and our future."
