The Lima Public Library has a lot to offer children.
If you're looking for fun activities for your children or grandchildren, try the Lima Public Library. Youth Services Director Stephanie James told us they have much more than books. When children enter the youth services department, they are greeted with engaging table top and dry erase board activities. They also offer story time, scavenger hunts, and regular programs like a paper airplane contest, pajama party and a magnet play day. The electronic Wonder Books provide a voice that reads along with the children to help them learn their words, and they have audio books specially designed for children. One of the library's new programs is tutor.com which offers online tutoring assistance for homework help, test prep, and even resume building and citizenship testing. Of course, the Youth Services Department is filled with books, hundreds of which were donated by Lima Rotary Club in honor of our weekly speakers.
Also at Monday's meeting, we were excited to induct two new members: Carter Jones, Director of Additive Manufacturing and Engineering at Aircraft Dynamics and Cindy Leis, CEO of the Allen Economic Development Group. Please make them welcome!
