The Traditional Fall Football Kick-Off at Lima Rotary Continued with Vince Koza Introducing Area High School Football Coaches.
The September 9th meeting will feature Tim Ryan speaking on Polio Plus.
Mary Elmquist provided fellowship: offering a joke - collected a fine from anyone never belonging to a union, in honor of Labor Day. - and mentioned several area Roses:
- Cindy Wood for her appointment to The Ohio Citizens for the Arts Board
- Jay Begg for his father's inductance into the Lima Agricultural Hall of Fame
- David Grimm for his successful first year management of the fair.
- Dr. David Steiner for a race named in his honor at the fair.
- Phil Tamayo from the Salvation army - who is leaving for service in Lancaster, Ohio
Mary also donated $100 to the foundation for her brother; who recently passed away, and will soon be inducted into the Ohio State University Athletic Hall of Fame. When you watch OSU on September 28th against Wisconsin - you can view the ceremony at halftime...
Dick Warren showed us the new T-shirts and hats for the High Octane drum-line - which were sponsored by our club.
Michael Frueh shared his philosophy of marriage - that the relationship is a series of deposits and withdraws. Staying out late with your college buddies is a withdrawal - taking your spouse to the Lima Symphony Orchestra - September 7th, is a deposit - DO NOT overdraw your account.
Our president introduced Vince Koza - in order to host the annual high school football preview. There are 3 new head coaches this season, and Vince interviewed those and 4 others about their upcoming seasons.
