Here are the highlights from the October 8th board meeting.
Call to Order  Ken Dysert
President Dysert called the meeting to order at 11: 45 AM with the following members present:  Carol Buettner, Andy Farley, Jeff Fitzgerald, Cat Sarno, Paul Swartz and Secretary Rita Brown.

Attendance report
Brown shared the September Club Attendance Report.  The Club had one new member and two resignations during the month.  It ended with 162 members.   Attendance was up to 44.60% which is more in-line with our past history.

World polio Day October 24th 
At our Club Meeting on October 21st, Dr. Susan Hubbell will present the program.  Pledge Cards will be available for members during the Month of October.  Pledges will count toward Paul Harris Fellowships.

Pizza for Polio will be served at the October 21st meeting.   Ficorilli will announce the Amount of the Fund Raising goal.   The Bath Interact Club is also working on fund raising activities for the day.
Fall Blood Clinic                                                                                                                                    Ken Dysert
The Blood Clinic has been scheduled for Saturday November 2, 2019, at the Sr Citizens Center on West Elm Street.  It will run from 6:30 – 9:30 AM.  Those interested in working need to contact Tracie Sanchez.
Media lunches at Monday Rotary meetings - table for Media
Dysert asked the Board for their thoughts on offering free lunches to the media staff covering the Monday club meetings.  A table could be set aside with a “Reserved for Media” sign on it.  Fitzgerald stated the other Service Clubs in town currently do offer free lunches to the media.  Buettner made a motion to put the plan in place and offer the lunches.  Swartz seconded the motion.  Board approved.  Fitzgerald abstained from voting.  Fitzgerald will speak with the team at the TV station in a sales meeting and Dysert agreed to call Jim Krummel at The Lima News.
    July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019 Tax Return in process
Treasurer Dan Best is gathering needed materials for the Club’s current year’s tax return.  He has reached out to club member and CPA Tracey Regula.  She will  prepare the tax return for the club.

Corporate membership discussion                                                                                                  Paul Swartz
Swartz discussed putting the following procedures in place for billing Corporate Members.  The Statements will read Corporate Billing across at Top.  Associate meals will be billed quarterly to the corporation for distribution.  During New Member Orientation, members will be asked if they prefer to be billed quarterly or annually.  Members can be billed separately or as a corporation. 
Special Needs Christmas Party December 14th   
Baldridge has formed a committee and is currently working on the Party Plans.  They will speak to the members at club meetings to get members motivated

  1. Resignations – Beth Keehn of Mercy Health

Two resignations were received.  Sarno made a motion to accept the resignations with regret.  Fitzgerald seconded the motion.  Board approved.
  1. Application –    Dave Stratton, President/CEO – Allen Economic Development Group
Ficorilli made a motion to approve the application of Dave Stratton.  Farley seconded the motion.  Board approved.
Membership District Committee                                                                                              John Ficorilli
Ficorilli has been asked to be a Member of the District Membership Committee.  He will be participating in a Three District Event later this year and will bring ideas back to the Lima Rotary Club.
There being no further business, Dysert adjourned the meeting at 12:35 PM.
