Here are the highlights from the June 10th board meeting. Please note that the board has approved an assessment of $100 to be spread over 4 quarters to help fund next year's 100th anniversary celebration. This includes a commemorative tie or scarf.
The Past Presidents’ Luncheon had a nice turnout. This year the luncheon included all Past Presidents of the club including those who are no longer active members. Valuable history was shared that can be included in the Centennial History information.
The Agenda for the Changing of the Guard party was discussed. The evening will include a tribute to Harrold (Jack) Goodnight, former Lima Rotary Club member, Past President and Past District Governor. The Goodnight children have been invited to join the party as guests of the Club. This year the Service Awards have been renamed for Past Leaders of the Lima Rotary Club. They include:

Bob Ruehl was acknowledged at the District Conference with the Rotary International District Foundation Award.
President Elect Baldridge submitted her proposed budget for the Lima Rotary Club for the fiscal year July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015. The proposed budget included income of $166,710 and expenses of $166,270.
Osmon made a motion to approve the budget as presented. Ruehl second it. Motion carried.

Baldridge stated Committee assignments are now listed on the club web site. Project Service has been assigned to Anne Decker; Project Fund Raising has been assigned to David Frost, and International Service has been assigned to Bob Fett. Membership has been assigned to John Ficcorilli but Classifications is still a work in progress.
Cindy Wood and Jay Begg presented a Membership Committee Report. Wood presented a postcard that Michael Frueh from Longmeier designed. Cards will be sent on a monthly basis to members with low attendance such as missing 3 – 4 meetings. Cards will be sent by the Membership Committee. Baldridge also presented an alternative card option. The cards will be printed. The process will be rolled out next week at the Club Meeting.

The date for the Centennial celebration has been set for Saturday March 21, 2015 at VMCCC. Ehora will be putting out signup sheets to ask for volunteers to serve on various subcommittees. They include: Historical, Protocol, $100,000 committee, Logistics, Materials and Entertainment.
An assessment to each Club Member will begin in the next quarter. Members will be assessed a total of $100 divided over four quarters. The ticket to the gala fee will be designated at $100 with $50 for the meal and $50 for a tie or scarf each member will receive. Warren made a motion to approve the fee assessment and Osmon seconded the motion. Board approved. The information will be shared with membership through the eSpoke and it will also be announce it at a meeting. If club members wish to bring a guest, the fee will be $50 each. Once the plan for the $100,000 grant distribution has been finalized, it will be brought to the club membership for approval.
Warren stated the Drum Line did a great job at the Memorial Day Parade. Volunteers to aid with fund raising and problem solving are needed. Wood is currently serving on the Committee. Warren will recruit additional committee members in his June 16th Fellowship report.
There were no new member applications or resignations. Orientation for 5 new club members will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2014. Club membership for the end of June will be 184.

Treasurer Lawson was not presented but had submitted a Financial Report for review. The report indicated the budget is positive by $4,000. Ruehl stated during the recent RI Annual Fund initiative, $3,525.00 was raised with 22 club members participating. The Board discussed the Collection Policy for those in arrears 90 days or more. Schoenhofer agreed to call those members to make arrangements with them for payment. Wood made a motion to accept the Finance Report. Bischoff seconded the motion. Board approved.
Schoenhofer thanked Bob Ruehl, Cindy Wood and Jim Osmon for their time on the Board and their dedication to the Lima Rotary club.
