Empowering Educators: Explore Rotary’s Education Technology Projects Webinar Series

“From my experience, teachers have a love-hate relationship with technology and I think it just shows the importance of the way we approach technology. It should be equipping teachers, empowering teachers, and recognizing teachers as fully capable agents of change in the classroom, in their schools. They know their students and their needs the best.”

Dr. Sophia D’Angelo, inclusive education consultant

In Rotary, our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, support education for all children and literacy for children and adults.

Rotary International and the Basic Education and Literacy Rotary Action Group co-hosted a three-part webinar series about collaborative, effective, and sustainable ways to harness emerging technology in our basic education and literacy projects. Whether you have sponsored many education technology projects or want to learn about important considerations as you get started, these sessions will help you understand how to plan and implement education projects that lead to measurable improvements in student academic outcomes.

Hear from experts and members doing incredible work in this field, including:

  • Current evidence and research on technology in schools
  • How members are supporting measurable improvements in education
  • How to conduct a community assessment for technology in education projects
  • How to design a teacher training plan and identify an appropriate trainer/collaborating organization.
