The Lima Rotary Foundation Board met on Monday July  22,2013 and approved payment of the following grant requests:

 

The Lima Symphony Orchestra received payments of three grants.

o   $864 to provide tickets for Marimor students and their families. 

o   $1,000 to sponsor the Young People’s Concert

o   $1,500 to fund the KidStuff Program at the Lima Public Library. 

 

B.  Equestrian Therapy Program received $1,000 for the Programming Section of their Operating   

     Budget.

 

C.  Mobility Foundation received $500 to fund the medical adaptive equipment program and

     education program to provide help for people to become mobile and independent.

 

D.  Coleman Behavioral Health-Changing Seasons Outreach received $500 to   

     purchase equipment/furnishings for Changing Seasons.

 

E.  Big Day of Serving received $500 to assist in identifying a need, developing a plan and

     executing a single work day event in North Lima.  Their slogan is “Youth Transforming American Neighborhoods”

 

F.  Children’s Development Center received $674 to purchase an iPad App used for teaching

     children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other communication disorders. 

 

G.  West Central Ohio Autism Community requested $800 to purchase iPads for two students

     enrolled in the Allen County Education Service Center’s Great Day Academy.

H.  Rally Point Youth Center received $500 to provide teenagers in the Brower Road area with

     an after school program that is drug and alcohol free.
